Purpose of this application

The purpose of Starwake is to provide an offline, single-player puzzle game for Android. You tap a lit piece; it leaves the board and wakes what it passes. Pseudo Playgrounds publishes it. The Android application ID is com.pseudoplaygrounds.starwake.

How Starwake works

The sky above you is asleep.

Touch a piece that still holds a light. It slides away into the dark, and everything its path passes wakes up behind it. That is the whole rule. Drive one piece into another and both of them crack; a board that cracks twice goes dark and begins again. That costs the attempt and nothing else. Undo is free and unlimited.

Every board you finish is a fragment of a picture. Six fragments light a centerpiece. Centerpieces join, and a constellation comes up out of the dark. World 1 is sixty boards, free, and a complete game on its own. Four more worlds, Endless, a new board every day, and extra palettes are there if you want them. Worlds and palettes past the first are one-time purchases. Nothing expires, and nothing is taken back.

It is portrait, one thumb, and kind to a dark screen. There are no ads, no timer, no lives, no energy, and no streaks.

Why Starwake may ask for a Google account

Starwake does not require a Google account to play. If it ever asks Google for access, it is for one of the two purposes below, and only those.

Purchases (Google Play Billing). Additional worlds, Endless, and cosmetic palettes are one-time buys handled by Google Play, using the account already signed into the Play Store on your device. We receive a confirmation of what was bought so we can unlock it. We never see your email address, password, or payment details.
Optional cloud save (Google Play Games). If you choose Save to Google Play in Settings, Starwake asks Google to sign you in so it can store a snapshot of which boards you have woken. That snapshot exists so your progress can come back after a reinstall or on a new phone. We receive a Play Games player identifier and display name only to show that cloud save is on. We do not read your email, contacts, Drive files, or anything else in your Google account. You can play the whole game without turning this on.
